iStent Inject® Implant
The iStent Inject® is considered the smallest implant, with a length of 1mm, and 0.33 millimeters high.

The implant improves the outflow of aqueous humor in the eye, which can significantly reduce eye pressure.
The unique mechanism of the iStent Inject® directs the aqueous humor into the natural outflow channel of the eye.
The implant then acts as a kind of artificial connection between the anterior chamber of the eye and the deeper outflow pathway of the aqueous humor (the so-called "Schlemm canal").

The iStent Inject® implant is suitable, for example, when:
-
eye pressure lowering drops are no longer sufficient
-
the pressure lowering eye drops cause too many side effects (e.g. allergic reactions)
-
life circumstances do not allow the regular use of pressure-lowering eye drops
